Our story begins with the design of our rod bag. For years our founders, Mike, Dan and Darren, faced a common dilemma when enjoying the recreational game fishing that New Zealand has to offer. Despite their extensive experience, the trio struggled to find an efficient means of transporting their rods and gear.

In true Kiwi spirit, driven by the mantra "if you want anything done, do it yourself," Mike, Dan and Darren took matters into their own hands. In 2023, fueled by a desire to enhance their personal fishing experience, they designed the perfect rod bag. Word spread through the community, as fellow fishermen recognised the unparalleled quality and functionality. And so, Reel Catch was created.

Since our inception, we've remained steadfast in our commitment to innovation. Mike, Dan and Darren, drawing on over 50 years of combined experience, are working to continuously develop cutting-edge gear.
